02One place for the team

One team. One command center.

Every member of your team has their own sign-in to one clear, visual workspace that shows what needs to be done, in order of priority. Patient information is exchanged in one secure place instead of across phone calls, text messages and email.

  • One shared task dashboard
  • A secure channel
  • Full transparency: nothing is missed

03Ambient scribe

It knows the visit. It writes the note.

An ambient scribe built to follow the flow of each visit: new patient, pre-op, post-op or telehealth. High-fidelity notes in your format, plus the rest of what a busy orthopedic practice writes, including inpatient consults, ER consultations and inpatient rounding notes.

  • Follows the visit type
  • Your format, your words
  • Consults and rounding notes too

04Better notes

Every note, reviewed before you sign.

Clinic notes and operative notes are scanned for places they can be stronger, so you can tighten them before they are filed. Edit by hand or by voice, and your words land where they belong. CPT codes for clinic and surgery are suggested from the note, and you approve them.

05OR Command

Dictate during the case. Finish before you scrub out.

Live dictation in the operating room captures the case as it happens, for the most accurate, real-time record of the surgery. Your operative report can be drafted before you scrub out.

  • A novel integration with the iOS ecosystem
  • Control it from smart devices such as Apple Watch
  • Nothing is filed until you sign

Apple Watch is a trademark of Apple Inc.

06Recovery Passport

Your plan, in every therapist's hands.

Even the best surgeon and therapist relationships pass along too little. Once the operative report is finished, a sign-out for the therapist can be prepared from it: the patient's background, prior surgeries, what you found and how severe it was, what you did, what you expect and your own rehabilitation protocol. It goes into the patient's Recovery Passport, which they carry to any therapist, on any platform.

  • Your protocol, exactly as you set it
  • Any therapist, in or out of the ecosystem
  • You see which clinic the patient chose

07Clinic in real time

Follow clinic from anywhere.

Proprietary clinic tools keep the day moving with real-time updates. A team member can follow clinic remotely, even for several surgeons at once, so your staff go further and patients spend less time waiting in a room.

08Ops Planning

Book a case in 30 seconds.

Book surgery straight from the clinic room, like reserving a table at a restaurant. Every date is checked against each facility's insurance list and your own booking rules. Once the case is confirmed, automations take over: every relevant party is notified, from the facility to the vendor reps, and the case is waiting on your team's dashboard when they sign in.

09RECON · Patient-reported outcomes

Outcomes on autopilot.

Enroll a case when you book it, and the gold-standard outcome measures you choose go to the patient at set post-op time points, without anyone lifting a finger. Every patient's progress lands in one clear view you can narrow by procedure. With BlackOpsPT, the therapist's measured progress joins the picture.

  • Scores come only from the patient, through their own private link
  • No one on your team can enter or change them

10Your numbers

We track our health and our fitness. Why not our profession?

Every performance-driven profession relies on high-quality data. Our patients deserve the same. How can we improve if we don't know where we stand? Your outcomes, surgical volume and case mix in one view, with a comparison to your peers that shows where there is room to improve.

Peer comparison is a preview. The benchmarking network is in development.

11Your leverage

Your numbers, at the table.

For the first time, bring tangible, justifiable data to a contract negotiation: your outcomes, your volume, a niche market or a unique case mix, in a summary you control. In the network, no patient information is shared and no surgeon's data is shown to anyone else.

12Less clerical work

Less paperwork. More bandwidth for the patient interface.

Time-consuming forms, such as FMLA paperwork and work or school notes, are drafted for you. Taking routine work and decision fatigue off your staff returns bandwidth to patient care and to time in front of the patient.

14EMR agnostic

Works alongside any EMR.

BlackOpsMD is not an EHR and does not replace yours. Finished notes copy into your EMR in one click, with no integration project, and BlackOpsMD keeps working whatever system your clinic runs.

FAQQuestions

Straight answers.

Is this an EHR?

No. BlackOpsMD works alongside any EMR and is built around you, the surgeon. Finished notes copy into your EMR in one click.

Who checks the notes?

You do. Every note is a draft until you review and sign it, and every suggested code waits for your approval.

Whose numbers are they?

Yours. Your volumes, case mix and outcomes belong to you, and in the benchmarking network nothing is shared unless you opt in.

Can my team use it?

Yes. Each person has their own sign-in and role, with two-factor sign-in required.

Where is patient information stored?

In US data centers, encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher. Patient data is never used to train AI.

Can I see everything it does?

Yes, in a live demo on your own workflow. We keep the details off the website on purpose.
